Welcome to the Kill a Friend, Maim a Buddy Sweepstakes where you nominate the ones you love for fictional homicide. Gain immortality, win a signed book, and prove to someone special in your life that yes, you care that much.
Here’s how it works: Have a friend you’re really fond of? Enter her name in the Kill a Friend, Maim a Buddy Sweepstakes, and immortalize her forever as a Lucky Stiff. A bit peeved with your boss? Nominate the head honcho and ask your co-workers to do the same. Or if you’re feeling a little suicidal, provide your own name for the grist mill. Who are we to judge?

Sweepstakes dates: 12 a.m. ET April 1, 2023 through 11:59 p.m. ET September 1, 2023.
How to Play: Fill out the form. Provide your contact information, then the name of the person you are nominating. You can only enter the sweepstakes once; however, if you have someone you really want to see dead, you can have multiple people—friends, family, coworkers—enter the same name and increase the chances of that person becoming the Lucky Stiff.
On September 2, 2023, an entry will be randomly selected, with the name of the Lucky Stiff meeting a grand end in Lisa’s 2024 hardcover release. Both the Lucky Stiff and the nominating party will receive signed copies of the novel, plus mention in the acknowledgments (assuming they want to be acknowledged).
Please don’t provide a physical description of the proposed Lucky Stiff or details about the manner in which you’d like to see the person die. This is supposed to be a harmless bit of fun, not the beginnings of couple’s therapy.
